Iwabara Hachiman Shrine | kokosil Minami-Ashigara

According to the "Shinpen Sagami Fudoki manuscript" written in the Edo period, the shrine is believed to have been erected by Minamoto no Yoritomo. Both the Omori clan, lords of the Iwarhara Castle soutwest of the shrine, and the Late Hojo clan in Odawara, a region they had dominated since the Sengoku period, deeply honored and cherished this shrine.
